The challenge

Tesco wanted to move away from face-to-face training and make better use of digital learning inside the business. They needed a solution that could deliver learning to colleagues far quicker than they had done in the past. They also wanted to give colleagues the opportunity to learn on tablet and smartphone devices.

The team had been using an authoring tool but it wasn’t widely adopted inside the business. Tesco needed a tool that was simple enough to encourage adoption, but flexible enough to customize.

The solution

Tesco rolled out Elucidat to 37 authors. Every user was very surprised at how easy it was to use. Even inexperienced staff could use the tool with just two hours of training.

Over a period of three months, Tesco saw a 50% increase in the number of users using Elucidat (unheard of with past tools). The team are now creating elearning modules in a couple of days or weeks, instead of months.

The results

The learning team at Tesco were soon finding they could produce projects four times faster than before.

They now have over 400 authors creating elearning modules in Elucidat for all types of learning: compliance training, leadership skills training, product training and diagnostic assessments.
